Email lists - sometimes known as listserves
- are useful for communication around a specific topic.
You subscribe by sending an email to the appropriate email address. Thereafter you receive all the emails sent to the list.
N.B.
Any message you send to the list is received by ALL subscribers to the
list so ensure that you intend to email everyone and not an individual
on the list.
Subscribing and unsubscribing is usually done to a slightly different
email address from the one that is used to communicate to the list. Use
the correct addresses and check the conventions and any rules that may
apply to a particular list.

lists are free of charge. All you need is email.
